“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle.”- Albert Einstein
Life has caused me to discover that joy is our natural state, and it is only our fears, brought forth from our forgotten eternal connection to unconditional love, that cloud our joy and manifest suffering. Our free will gives us the continual choice to focus our attention in ways that take us into the direction of unconditional love and appreciation, or draw us away. The more often we choose to cultivate appreciation and "Real Love" in our hearts, the easier it is to live joy filled lives. I believe thriving in joy to be the destiny of all humanity, and the solution to all our perceived troubles. It is with great passion that I walk my path of ever expanding faith, joy, and abundant love, and through my work, encourage the remembering of who we truly are. May your journey of remembering be blessed with miracles at every turn! In Love and Appreciation, Mira Linn Boyda
My Story:I just want to go home!
My childhood contained its variety of traumas (divorce, sexual abuse, issues of abandonment, and low self esteem, to name a few...). I spent a majority of ages six through eighteen feeling quite lost, alone, depressed, and self destructive. Throughout this time the words “I just want to go home” repeatedly played in my mind although I had no idea what they meant.
During my teens I turned to drugs and alcohol as a means to fill the void of despair, and escape my low self esteem. At eighteen years of age my life turned a corner as I was introduced to meditation. The simple process of focusing on my breath, and delving into the silence between my thoughts gave me an incredible sense of peace that allowed my heart to expand. This expansion radiated an energy of love and appreciation that felt as though I had come home. And I realized I had found the “home” I had been seeking.
This "home" is not a physical place, but a feeling and knowing that emanates from within. To me it is "Heaven" and a state of focused awareness where I feel fully connected to what I perceive of as God or Source Energy.
The feeling of peace and belonging in a world I had felt separate from for so long was wonderfully invigorating, inspiring, healing, and empowering. I was touched deeply and began a meditative daily practice. Within weeks my health dramatically increased, peace and joy within me grew, and my intuitive skills blossomed. Life transformed into a joyful adventure that continues to unfold today. And I can honestly say after over twenty years on the path, it just keeps getting better...
The path of healing called...In my early twenties I spent an afternoon praying for a fulfilling direction in my life. I followed this prayer as usual with a period of meditation, so I could 'Listen' to God's answer. It was during this time that I was led toward the healing field. While in my listening state, I was shown mutiple energy fields within and around my body, and orbs of healing light seated in each of my palms. I heard the words "hands on healing". A couple months later I entered East-West College of Healing in Portland, Oregon.
Since completing over 520 core hours of training at East-West College, I have continued to study in numerous settings from British Columbia to California on topics relating to Energy Medicine & Body-Mind therapies, including college accredited courses on nutrition, exercise physiology, anatomy & physiology, neuroanatomy, and psychology.
I have had in-depth training in the fields of: Chinese Medicine, Medical Qi-Gong, BodyTalk, Reiki, Advanced Massage techniques, Non-Violent Communication, Wilderness Survival, Nature Awareness, Meditation, Spiritual Counseling, Herbal Medicine, and Whole Food Nutrition.
