Reiki Healing

Reiki (Rei "Universal Life Force" and Ki "Energy")is a Japanese form of hands on healing that shares roots with Chinese Medical Qi-Gong, ancient Buddhism and Shintoism.  Reiki is used to harmonize and balance the bodies subtle energies, induce deep relaxation, and inspire healing and well-being.

Clients may request a Reiki only session, though my training in Natural Healing and Energy Medicine is vastly more expansive than Reiki alone and often the needs of a client will be benefitted greatly through the implementation of other modalities. Therefore, unless you are a Reiki student or contemplating becoming a student of Reiki, and need to experience a Reiki only session, I recommend a JOY THERAPY session.

MY REIKI BACKGROUND:

My Reiki training began in Bend Oregon. I "trained" with various Reiki teachers and always felt something was missing from the version I was receiving.  It wasn't until I studied Medical Qi-Gong with Robert Bates, also a Reiki Master, in Bellingham Washington, that I began to understand the inner feelings I had about Reiki.  

I began to understand that the version of Reiki in the west was a very watered down version of Medical Qi-Gong.  I went on from here to study the research of  Reiki Masters Walter Lubeck, Mark Hasac, Frank Arjava Peter... and my feelings were confirmed.  The original Reiki taught by Dr. Usui was indeed much more than what we were being offered in the west.

Throughout this time of learning Reiki and Medical Qi-Gong, I was also training in an energy medicine modality called BodyTalk. 

In the mid 1990's just after beginning my Reiki path, I was befriended by Mariah Crawford, who is an incredibly gifted medium, spiritual counselor, and Reiki Master.  She knew right away that I had a gift for this same work and took me on as an apprentice.  Mariah mentored me for 14 years in spiritual matters and although I had received Reiki I, II, and III  training through others, the Reiki training from Mariah is the training I claim.

You may also want to know that ever since I was a child, I have had strong and present spiritual guidance, Each step along my journey of learning healing and spiritual counseling, I have been guided to specific teachers and specific courses of study, often times the guidance will come while I am working with a client. I will be shown something specific and different, told a bit about it and then told to begin studying this...

Along my journey I have been guided to study college level classes that include, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, and various courses in western psychology. I apprenticed through Suzanne Nagler, a wise-woman herbalist, and I have studied the writings of many spiritual teachers and, more importantly, I have put these teachings into practice.  I strive  every day within everything that I do, to live by the principles i teach. LIfe has been my greatest teacher.  I suffered severe depression, abuse, and poor health, and have come through the other side of all this and have learned real unconditional love, non-judgement, and deep compassion.
